If you were born with a deformity would you want to change it by having surgery or not?
Wow, I kind of agree with Ms. Palacio. I mean, obviously, it would be ideal for me to be able to come to terms with my deformity.
Under ordinary circumstances, I would never consider plastic surgery simply to improve my looks. A facelift, breast enhancements, nose job, whatever - they just seem like a waste of money to me.
Of course, if my deformity caused me physical difficulties, like a deviated sceptum, then I would do what I could do to get it fixed.
Perhaps I would consider plastic surgery to look more 'normal' if I had a deformity, but I would definitely want to make sure that I still looked like myself.
Well, it depends what it was... I would want to change it, but then like a day before the surgery, I'd realise that that deformity makes me me, and I shouldn't change it!
I don't think I would have surgery because I would have been given the deformity for a reason. God never makes mistakes =D
I'd like to say no, but I might. It depends on the deformity, of course.
