I'm Raven. I'm an aspiring author. I love, love, love, love, LOVE to read. My favorite genre is fantasy. I prefer historical fantasy, but I do read modern fantasy as well.
English and History. Ironically (or not so much), that's my major and minor.

Oh dear... I have so many. Look up quotes by Mark Twain, and, chances are, you'll find most of them.
"Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing; it was here first!" ~ Mark Twain
"Your life is yours alone; stand up and live it!" ~ Richard Rahl, Confessor, Terry Goodkind

Best Book To Film Adaptation
Ummm.... from the ones I've seen. With fear of people lashing out at me, I'm going to say Twilight. They stayed closer to the book than a lot of films do, and the things they did change, needed changing anyway. Though their sparkling doesn't help the argument against those vampires (or meyer-pires if your a hater) being gay.
If I could be any character I'd be (and why?)
I would want to be Kitty in the Bartimeaus Trilogy because I think I could find a way to save Nathaniel. I don't know how, but I would. Or at least, you know, I'd try and be able to tell myself I tried because I would have seen through his plan far sooner than she did.
If I was stranded on a desert island and could only bring 3 books, I'd bring
Ella Enchanted, definitely. That's my favorite. Ummm... The original Artemis Fowl, and the first of the Sword of Truth series. because all three of these can stand alone, so I wouldn't be craving the rest of the series. Ella Enchanted and Artemis Fowl, though short, are epically good. And Wizard's First Rule is long and really, really good.
