Holy cannoli, great questions!
-When I wrote the scene about Julia's dad, I was sitting in a Wendy's and, I'm not kidding, I started tearing up.
-It's a tie between Jess Mariano and Logan Echolls (can you tell I like smart, snarky bad boys?)
-I watched Felicity religiously (team Noel all the way) and could not WAIT to get to college and fall in love with my RA (which didn't happen ... my RA was a girl), have a love triangle (um, also didn't happen), and meet my soulmate (I didn't meet my husband until the fall after graduation). Also thanks to Felicity I wore a lot of sweaters and carried a leather backback.
-Uh, I think you can tell I'm a fan of parentheses as well! But in my drafts, I overuse the word "just." Before MTB went to print, I had to go through and search for all fo them and take out about two thirds of them!
-Excellent question! My answer comes from a book that hasn't come out yet, but I was lucky enough to read a galley of. Robin Benway, who wrote Audrey, Wait! has a book coming out in March called Also Known As. It's about a teenage safecracker, and she has a friend in the book named Roux. She is absolutely one of my favorite, most hysterical characters of all time. I'm so excited to see there's going to be a sequel so I can get more Roux, and I hope Robin writes a third book all about her!
-Hmmm favorite Disney villain ... hmmm... that's a hard one, because I don't much care for villains, but I'm going to say Ursula from Little Mermaid, because I think if she got reformed a bit, she'd be a cool lady to hang out with.
