Forum Search Tips Close

Basics

  1. Search syntax is similar to Google searches.
  2. Words shorter than 4 characters are ignored.
  3. Searches are NOT case-sensitive.
  4. Automatic 'and' queries: The search will only return pages that include all of your search terms.
  5. Only the body of the post is searched by default. Use the Advanced search to also search by subject.
  6. Word variation/stemming is currently not supported. For example, if you search for acting or acted, the search will not return results for act.

Phrase Searches

Sometimes you'll only want results that include an exact phrase. In this case, simply put quotation marks around your search terms. E.g. "cool video games"

Negative Terms

If your search term has more than one meaning (bass, for example, could refer to fishing or music) you can focus your search by putting a minus sign ("-") in front of words related to the meaning you want to avoid. For example, here's how you'd find pages about bass-heavy lakes, but not bass-heavy music: bass -music

    Lorena stood up and walked in through the castle in the opposite direction of the others. She walked quietly into the medical wing. Eragon lay on a cot with his eyes closed. Was he unconscoius? She cleared her throat and waited to see what he did.

    As Eragon walked around the forest at night, he was wondering what was happening. Wasn't he just flying with Saphira a moment ago. No wait, he was falling a moment ago. But he didn't understand where he was. He didn't even understand how he got here. He was just walking. Saphira! Saphira!
    Saphira is dead, Eragon, As with the rest of your pupils and elders. A mysterious voice said. Eragon looked around. he didn't see anyone. Then a light flashed and he saw two people he did not wanna see: Murtagh and Reiza. Murtagh was carrying a bow and quiver of arrows were strapped on his back while Reiza was holding The Scroll.
    What are you talking about? And give me back The Scroll. But they both just cackled and Murtagh drew something from behind his back: an arrow with a poisoned tip. He notched it on his bow, pulled back the string, and fired. Before it could hit him in the chest, a very loud noise echoed around the forest.
    Eragon sat up with a jolt and he was drenched in his sweat. He sighed in relief. It was only a dream. Then he looked around and saw Lorena.

    Lorena was shocked to see Eragon. He jerked awake and his sandy hair was stuck to his forehead from sweat. "Eragon Shadeslayer," she said touching two fingers to her lips and brow. "How are you feeling?" She asked walking over to his cot.

    Vanadoth was about to answer Glenwing's question herself when she felt the healing energy she had given to Eragon run out. She smiled.
    Eragon has awakened. I should make our presence known. Perhaps after dinner we could include him in our disscussions?
    She was already starting down the hallway toward the medical wing.
    She arrived to find another allready in the room with Eragon. She stood patiently by the door untill her presence was known.

    Mystic drummed her fingers along the table. Haven wrapped her tail around Mystic's leg and pulled down.

    Eragon looked at Lorena and Vanadoth back and forth. He was confused. Wasn't he just flying a few minutes ago? Or was he falling a few minutes ago? He didn't understand. Maybe Lorena and Vanadoth would help. He bowed his head slightly to Vanadoth.

    I am doing quite well, thank you for asking Lorena. Though about the fall...I don't know what happened. One minute we were flying, but then Saphira realized that the thing we were chasing was black, not red. And then we blacked out. After that, well.... Then Eragon jerked,
    What happened to Saphira? Is she alright? Is she hurt? Then Eragon winced at the pain and looked at his bandages.
    What happened to me?

    Black? Lorena felt her jaw drop and quickly shut it. Eragon was distressed enough as it was. "I am glad to hear that. You fell through the trees and got banged up a bit, I'm afraid. Saphira is in the same condition as you are, from what I know. I'm not certain if she has awoken yet, though." She looked back down at his bandages. "Would you like me to heal those for you?" Lorena asked. A smile twitching around the corner of her mouth, No, she thought, he just wants to lay there in pain.

    Sorry, I made a mistake Lorena. I meant 'the thing we were chasing was black, not red' instead of the other way around. I changed that in my post.

    Lorena shrugged. Then rushed over to help Eragon sit back on his cot. "I think you may need to rest a while. Saphira will need her rest as well..." She looked around the room for a moment, unsure of herself and the academy. She would have thought a school full of magicians would have taken a bit better care of their headmaster. "Drink this." She said handing him her wineskin.

    Okay, Dinner time is over and all of you will have to go back to your dorms. Azendra sat down with slight exhaustion when Roghler contacted him.
    I think you should go to the medical wing. There seems to be a story being told.
    Why should I go there? I'm sure Eragon is boasting on how he defeated Galbatorix to the others.
    No he's not. Vanadoth is telling her story of how she came to be here.
    Azendra sighed. Fine I'll go. Just so the old codger won't tell it again.
    Azendra could tell that Roghler was smiling. Why call her an old codger when you are one yourself?

    Vanadoth took a deep breath and began.
    "As you know, Galbatorix personaly hunted down the Council in revenge. When he came after me, I was one of the last ones and had fought in the battle of Vroengard. My wards were too powerful for him to kill me. As he tryed with all diffrent methods to do so, I ran, hoping to get away long enough to summon what forces I could and attack him while he was still building his power. But at the near height of it, he found me. We fought and once again he couldn't kill me. So he put what I believe was one of the worst curses on me. He froze myself and Glenstorm in time. I do not know what substance we were trapped in but it froze us completely. When we awoke, my blaze was still where his head had been. We were still weary. We knew that he had frozen us because I had heard him say the words."
    Glenstorm finished so that Vanadoth could catch her breath.
    We arrived at your academy just in time to slow your fall and catch you. Your weapons Master invited us to stay. We decided to take up the matter with you when you woke up. Now that you have heard our story you can decide. If you would like some more details then we will not be offended if you ask.
    He fell silent

    (wow i was REALLY cunffuzled for a second cuz i havent posted in a while, but now im good...i think...:)


    Ireth pushed open the door of her dorm, just a couple minutes before that she had walked through the common room of her dormentory. she walked through loads of new riders talking and gossiping about what had happened with eragon and the whole day. she hadn't bothered to try and ask the elders and teachers what had happened, she would hear the "exaggerated days work of the stundent anyways"


    Ireth looked at her dorm, more like a cave really (so Iet' Lif could fit).

    well, this is home.... she said to her self...looking at the black walls...

    yep came a deep voice inside her head

    hi Iet' Lif Ireth said and turned around to look at the black dragon that just entered the room.

    first day of being here and soooo much has happened...at first i thought maybe it was planned by the teachers to see how the new stundents would react Iet' Lif said as Ireth reached out and petted his neck

    hmmmmm... Ireth said not really listening

    not anymore, that was way to genuin...

    after he said that, Ireth plopped down on her bed to think about what had happened
