Forum Search Tips Close
Basics
- Search syntax is similar to Google searches.
- Words shorter than 4 characters are ignored.
- Searches are NOT case-sensitive.
- Automatic 'and' queries: The search will only return pages that include all of your search terms.
- Only the body of the post is searched by default. Use the Advanced search to also search by subject.
- Word variation/stemming is currently not supported. For example, if you search for acting or acted, the search will not return results for act.
Phrase Searches
Sometimes you'll only want results that include an exact phrase. In this case, simply put quotation marks around your search terms. E.g. "cool video games"
Negative Terms
If your search term has more than one meaning (bass, for example, could refer to fishing or music) you can focus your search by putting a minus sign ("-") in front of words related to the meaning you want to avoid. For example, here's how you'd find pages about bass-heavy lakes, but not bass-heavy music: bass -music

I definetly plan on reading it. I am disappointed that he broke the trend of 6 letter "e" words though.Posted Mar 02, 2008, 09:39:51 PM

I can't wait to read the new book, but I'm not sure how things are going to turn out. The third book turned into two books, so now I have to wait even longer for any sort of conclusion.
It will be interesting to see how the series concludes.

I'm going to read it. I'm curious about how Paolini will write this one because his style has definitely matured.Posted Mar 05, 2008, 07:35:37 AM

I can't wait for Brisingr to come out. I loved Eragon and Eldest. All my friends laughed at me because I wouldn't see the movie until I finished reading the series. When those darn commercials came on I actually left the room. I also really hate the books with the movie covers. I definitely wanted the movie to be successful, but there was absolutely no way that the Saphira in the movie could match up to how I imagined her. It would totally ruin how I envision everything, which is what happened with Harry Potter. Daniel Radcliffe will forever be Harry to me now. I didn't want that to happen with these books. Did anyone else think that, or am I the only one that paranoid???Posted Mar 09, 2008, 12:14:22 AM

OMG that movie was the biggest piece of crap in history
.I can deal with Saphira growing up quicker but Brom died at the wrong time in the wrong place,Solenbum was missing, they didn't stop at Teirm and a lot of other thing were just completely wrong.

When I got the email that said spoiler I thought 'Oo! A Chapter!' No we got a sentence.... sheesh Paolini.... Other authors give out at least a couple of paragraphs. And Eragon meets a god? Sheesh that's not exciting enough. I think pondering on it is pointless since nothing eluded to this turning point in Eldest. Some people are saying that the god might be a dwarf god since the elves don't have gods. Another person said it would be interesting if Eragon met the original Eragon if he was considered as a god.Posted Mar 20, 2008, 11:40:06 AM

I will of course be reading the book. Not for sure what the heck that spoiler is about though, lol. I got an email directly from the alagaesia site, saying that a spoiler had been released for Brisinger. So naturally my heart started going a little faster and I was thinking, yay, maybe there's another page of the book! But no, it was just that little thing. So that's kinda sad...Posted Mar 22, 2008, 11:07:07 AM
