I agree. My English teacher last year, actually said something close to that, about getting a new aspect.
Sometimes, I'll just like automatically skip like a page or a few paragraphs, and later in the book it'll reference to that I'll be like What?
Then I reread the book, and when I reach that part, I'm like "Oh, so that's what they meant."
I can also find layers and such. The first time I read a book, I read it just to enjoy it. After that, if it's not for lack of new books(usually gone within a day or two, as I usually only get 1-3 new books at a time, and only like once every few months, sometimes not at all), it's either because I can fool my teachers into thinking I haven't read it before(*cough*Sea of Monsters--not that it worked all that well, thanks to a confused classmate) or to get some new depth.

Eight words the Rede fulfil
“And it harm none, do what ye will”.
I believe in dragons, good men, and other fantasy creatures.
If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?
