Forum Search Tips Close
Basics
- Search syntax is similar to Google searches.
- Words shorter than 4 characters are ignored.
- Searches are NOT case-sensitive.
- Automatic 'and' queries: The search will only return pages that include all of your search terms.
- Only the body of the post is searched by default. Use the Advanced search to also search by subject.
- Word variation/stemming is currently not supported. For example, if you search for acting or acted, the search will not return results for act.
Phrase Searches
Sometimes you'll only want results that include an exact phrase. In this case, simply put quotation marks around your search terms. E.g. "cool video games"
Negative Terms
If your search term has more than one meaning (bass, for example, could refer to fishing or music) you can focus your search by putting a minus sign ("-") in front of words related to the meaning you want to avoid. For example, here's how you'd find pages about bass-heavy lakes, but not bass-heavy music: bass -music

Boards Disclaimer
This is a friendly place to ask questions and talk about stuff you enjoy, so let's try to keep it that way. If you disagree with somebody's post, feel free to challenge that opinion; just refrain from ever attacking the person who asserted it. The online jargon for personal attacks is "flaming," an unfortunate phenomenon that is too much a part of many online boards and blogs. Let's keep it off Random Buzzers. If we detect personal attacks against other members or inappropriate content being posted, we will or deactivate any user account that violates this policy. Thanks!
Random Buzzers does not necessarily condone, support, or agree with the views expressed on this message board. If you feel that people aren't using good judgment (i.e. posting obscenities, personal and racist attacks or other out-of-hand comments that simply don't belong here) please email us at and we'll oust anyone who's not playing by the rules.
We designed this message board because we want you to discuss things related to Random Buzzers. What we don't want to see posted on the boards are ads, chain letters, pyramid schemes, product referral links, or virus warnings (they're not always correct and they clog up the board). So please try to follow these easy guidelines and treat your fellow members of Random Buzzers with the same respect you would like to receive yourself.
