Fake Boyfriend
Fake Boyfriend was one of those quirky, funny, fast reads.
What I loved about the book was the witty plot. I just loved the idea of creating a fake boyfriend just to help a friend in need. A funny and fast ride that will definitely leave the readers laughing and ready for more of Kate Brian’s stuff.
I loved Vivi and Lane because they were willing to do something totally outrageous so their best friend wouldn’t feel so depressed from her ex-boyfriend’s cheating. Vivi was really outgoing and it was obvious that she really loved Izzy and was willing to go off the deep end just for her. Though she’s a bit obnoxious and stuff, I definitely grew to love her. Lane, on the other hand, was more reserved with the whole plan because of her naturally shy nature. As the book progressed, she definitely became more outgoing and more sociable.
Izzy, the friend in desperate need, totally surprised me. In the beginning, I thought she was one of those friends who had no backbone and that she was really stupid. I mean, she totally was. Stupid, I mean. Yet at the end, she surprised me with a plan of her own that left me laughing hysterically. She definitely wasn’t the helpless girl I thought she was.
