The Maze RunnerAuthor James Dashner of the upcoming The Maze Runner will be joining us shortly to chat about his release but before he does, we wanted to have a fun Friday ARC Giveaway for copies of the book! In The Maze Runner, a new boy is dropped into the Glade every 30 days until one day, a girl is sent there and brings a message to Thomas. From the excerpt and description of the book, tell us your prediction of what the message could possibly be and you could be one of five lucky winners for a copy of the ARC! Let us know what you think and make sure to check back when author James Dashner comes to visit at the end of the month! Winners list will be posted here.

suprbee Maybe, since the boy doesn't know who he is, she will be bringing a message from his family or about them and his previous life. Maybe somehow he is supposed to use this message to inspire him to get out and get back to them!

I think the message could be that you can always find friends in every situation. There will always be someone or something there for you. You'll never have to get through anything alone.

I think the message would say something like... "Thomas you must get out of there. Not everyone is who they seem and you are in danger. Escape and free yourself at all cost. You must get out now."

I think that the message is that someone has been observing him and knows that he has special talent, and subsequently is taking him somewhere else to utilize this talent.

humanbookworm I think the girl was sent into the maze to help Thomas regain his memory. He probably knew something very important or even sinister about the Maze and why it is there. Her message is probably something that will make something click in his mind that will make him realize the inner workings of the maze. Maybe "Remember to listen to the birds at midnight" or "Always count your black sheep" or something equally random and mystic. (can't wait to read it though!! haha)

I think the message that the girl brings Thomas is about how to escape the Glade. The Glade seems like a type of utopia, but obviously there is something sinister going on. So, when the girl joins the group of boys...she's going to inspire Thomas to try to break out (and maybe inspire the other boys to do so as well)

I think it's going to be something about him not belonging there - that he was mistake.  He needs to get out.  OR that he was brought there by someone that needs him to end all that's happening.  This person arranged for him to be sent there so that he could stop it all!

Any way it goes - it sounds like an awesome book.
