Happy Halloween everyone! While the December holiday season is up there along with 4th of July and Thanksgiving, I think Halloween is the best holiday there is. First of all, what’s not to love? Free candy, hilarious costumes and spooky stories? C’mon who doesn’t love this holiday? I love dressing up like characters from books and have been doing so for a long time now! Here are some of my past Halloween costumes: Hermione Granger from Harry Potter, The Scarecrow from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Pippi Longstocking from those awesome children's books and finally Death from The Book Thief (okay, okay, I was just the grim reaper but it still counts!)
What about you? Have you ever dressed up as a character from a book? If so, which characters and who will you be going as for Halloween this year?
JessDay: Last year I was a necromancer from Garth Nix's Sabriel and the year before that i was Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter. This year i'm taking a break from book and dressing up as Toph from Avatar the Last Airbender

Dell: I dressed up as Alanna the Lioness when I was younger, but I can't remember any other times I did that. Otherwise the only one I can think of is Indiana Jones, does that count? I still need to work out what I'm being.
suprbee: I have, in the past dressed up as V from V for Vendetta and The Shadow (ok, so they are both graphic novel characters... so what?!) and Hermione Granger (I'm pretty sure everyone has had a Harry Potter Halloween!!). And this year..... another graphic novel character.... ROMANO FLOWER!!! (if you know what she is from, extra points for you!!!)

lostinbelieving: Yes! Two years ago I dressed up as Alice from Twilight. But other than that, I haven't dressed up as any other character. This year I don't think I'm going as anything...
AntonioMeks: I've done the ever cliché Richard Cypher. Although I do want to be Richard Cypher from Sword of Truth series. The costume would be from Legend of the Seeker. =D
Frazzletastic: I've been Hermoine before. :) I also went as Bella and my ex-boyfriend went as a short, asian Edward. This year I'm going as Katniss and my best friend is going as Peeta. :)
hobbitsies: When I was little, I always went as characters from the books I loved. I haven't dressed up much since then. If I were to dress up as a character, it would probably be someone from a Tamora Pierce book - love all the characters so much!

roses7184: I've always really wanted to be Katniss, but I was afraid no one would get it. Now that the books are HUGE though I think I might do it!

Read-a-holic: Two years ago, I was Renata from Twilight (the Volturi vampire who protects Aro by touching him). At first I was just one of the Volturi, but then my friend and I decided we had to be specific ones. She was Jane :)
kitty_committee: I dressed up as Maeve the faerie queen last year. I know she's more from mythology (Celtic), but she does appear in a lot of books.

I have been Dorothy from The Wizard Of Oz, and Hermione of course (Hasn't everyone?). I'm not dressing up this year but next year I plan on being the Snow Queen from the fairytale The Snow Queen :)

TypingTiara: One year I dressed up as Pippi Longstocking, even had wire wound in my hair to make sure my pigtails stuck out just right. :]
