Susannah Appelbaum

Susannah Appelbaum suffered an unsupervised childhood where many of her days she could be found exploring in the forests or nearby riverbanks. Before she was old enough to walk, she ate a particularly enchanting-looking flower from her aunt’s garden, and spent the remainder of the visit in the hospital. But from this early experience–and others more of her own devising (involving flames and goggles, pen and paper)–a certain obsession was born within her. An obsession to unlock the hidden nature of plants.
